Spring Break Travel Tips

Spring
is officially here which means it is spring break season! This is the time when
families and young adults get to relax and refresh, usually with a vacation. If
you have plans to go on a spring break trip, here are some tips to make the
trip go smoothly for everyone involved!
Book a Van Driving
Service
Depending
on where your group is going, it may be the right idea for you all to have a
dedicated van driving you! You can enjoy the travel part of the journey far
more than you could on a plane, especially with TourVanGo’s luxury amenities!
We have gaming systems, televisions, and lots of space in our luxury vans,
making it perfect for fun times on the road! However, if you are going
somewhere where a flight is necessary, you can also reserve our vehicle for the
trips to and from the airport! We can help eliminate the stress of airport
travel and save you money by avoiding high rideshare fees or high airport
parking fees!
If
you decide to travel to your destination with us, you can reserve the driver
and vehicle for the duration of your trip! This will save you big on rental
cars and allow the party to keep going even when on the go!
If You Fly, Pack Light to
Avoid Unnecessary Baggage Fees
Ahead
of flying, look into your airline’s baggage policies. Most airlines allow for
one small personal item that can fit under the seat in front of you and include
one carry-on bag with a ticket purchase. However, some tickets allow for only
personal items. Additionally, in general, most have additional fees that you
are subject to for checked bags. Avoid the extra baggage fees and pack light.
Follow your airline’s specific baggage policy to ensure no issues occur at the
security gate!
Pack a Wellness Kit
Whether
you are traveling with your family or your friends from school, spring break is
a common time for injuries and illnesses to happen. If you are traveling
somewhere where you might not have quick access to medical help, it would be in
your best interest to pack a health and wellness kit to use for emergencies.
You can bring a light first aid kit with pain relievers, electrolytes,
bandages, disinfectants, insect repellent, sunscreen, and aloe vera gel. Having
these essentials will help you be prepared for anything your trip might throw
at you.
Plan Meals and Activities
Ahead
There
is nothing worse than being on your trip and suddenly releasing you have no
idea what your going to do or where you are going to eat. If you are not
staying somewhere that has a specific set of activities or places to eat, for
example an all inclusive resort, you have more freedom in this. However, if you
are not staying at a place like this, your trip will be a lot smoother if you
look into restaurants in the area and things to do around you prior to leaving
for the vacation.
Check the Travel Advisory
Map
If
you plan to go abroad, we advise you look at the travel advisory map first to
confirm your destination is safe to travel to at this time. The U.S. State
Department creates a travel
advisory map and list that designates countries into level rankings to say
if the country is safe and if travelers should exercise normal travel
precautions (level 1), exercise increased caution (level 2), reconsider their
travel (level 3), or if they should not travel there (level 4).
We
hope you have a safe and fun spring break!
